We’re doing this song this weekend to go along with our new series, “Jesus for President”. I love the message of this song. Here’s the live video and lyrics.

It is not a human right To stare not fight
While broken nations dream
Open up our eyes, so blind That we might find
The Mercy for the need

Singing, Hey now Fill our hearts with your compassion
Hey now As we hold to our confession

It is not too far a cry To much to try
To help the least of these
Politics will not decide If we should rise
And be your hands and feet

God be the solution
We will be Your hands and be Your feet.

Higher than a circumstance
Your promise stands Your love for all to see
Higher than protest line and dollar signs
Your love is all we need

Only You can mend the broken heart
And cause the blind to see
Erase complete the sinners past
And set the captives free
Only You can take the widows cry
And cause her heart to sing
Be a Father to the fatherless
Our Savior and our King
We will be Your hands, we will be Your feet
We will run this race
On the darkest place, we will be Your light
We will be Your light

“Jesus for President”

We start a new series this week and I can’t wait. I think it’s going to really hit home where most of us are living right now.

“Fear and anxiety are gripping our country. People are afraid of the economy, losing their home, the stock market, or that their candidate won’t win. We’re all looking for someone that we can put our trust in, that gives us a hope for the future. It’s time to get back to “In God we Trust”. “Jesus is Lord” has to be more than a religious slogan but a life long calling that affects every decision we make. Join us over the next couple weeks as we refocus our lives and nominate Jesus as our candidate for hope and change.”

Celebration Weekend

This is one of my favorite things that we do. A couple times each year we combine all 4 of our weekend worship gatherings into 1. We meet at the local high school theater. The energy and excitement is incredible.

This year is a little different. Instead of having it on Sunday morning, we’re meeting on Sat night at 6:30. On Sunday, we’re inviting the whole church to join us at Bicentennial Park. This is going to be a great time of building relationships and community. More importantly, the highlight will be a beach baptism in which several dozen people will take the next step in there faith.

See you there!!!

Robbie gave one of the best messages on worship that I’ve ever heard at Beachside on Sunday. He used this video at the end. I think it pretty much sums it up.

Something Heavenly

I love this song and video. We’re doing it this week at Beachside. Check out the video.

I’ve been too swamped to do much blogging this week. sorry for the slacking. I’ve been helping out at Calvary Christian Academy this week during their spiritual emphasis week. It’s great to see students take steps towards Christ.

I was thinking today at how thankful I am for the different connections I’ve made around town. There’s a bunch of good folks that work in the church world that I’ve had the pleasure of partnering with. Actually, that’s how I ended up here at Beachside. Robbie and I worked together as well as several other youth pastors to do some community events here in Ormond. Because of that partnership, the door opened for me to join him in planting this church.

So here’s my shout out to a few of my local comrades.

Al Force – Youth Pastor – Calvary Christian Center (Crave)

Jon Reardon – Youth Pastor – Calvary Christian Center (Crave)

Mark Groover – Worship Pastor – Calvary Christian Center

Jon Carey – Music Director – Calvary Christian Center

Heyward Evans – Worship Leader – Riverbend Church

Craig Portwood – Youth Pastor – Tomoka Christian Church

Tim Paneitz – Youth Pastor – Tomoka Christian Church

Charles and Melonie Dolich – Worship Pastors – Tomoka Christian Church

Shane Stanton – Media Director – Tomoka Christian Church

Kris Mohrman – Youth Pastor – The Rock Church

Jason Jones – Worship Leader

Brent Captain – Lead Pastor – Palm Coast Church

I probably missed somebody and I’m sorry. Much love to you all.
