I was talking to my Dad while on vacation this week and we were reviewing Prov 3:5. Maybe one of the most recognized scriptures in the Bible besides John 3:16. I realize that most the time I don’t trust the Lord with ALL my heart. The only time that I do is when it’s my only option. I struggle with giving God the things that I could do in my own strength but shouldn’t do. Out of everything in my life, people stress me out the most. I guess that’s because I know I’m called to love and serve people. But it still frustrates me when I can’t control peoples attitudes, thoughts, and the things they do. I think I genuinely want the best for people but it has to be God that controls how they live. My only job is to serve and point towards Him. My goal for today is to trust Him when it’s easy to take control and surrender to the fact that He does ALL things well.
